Today was probably the best day of the week. You’ve got to hear why…
At 2:00 I had coffee at Starbucks with Kevin Mosteller. Kevin has been coming to Kinetic for a while, but despite his leadership gifts, has not found a great place to plug in…until today. As we met, I told Kevin about our struggle to become more welcoming and friendly. [singlepic=35,150,146,,left] Here’s the specific challenge: if you are visiting Kinetic, you have to be extremely convinced that we actually meet in a theater. (or you happen to be an eagle who can actually read the tiny 2’x3′ A-frame sign in the median.) You can’t see our parking lot from the road. You can’t see our indoor signs from your car. You almost have to have insider information before you’ll show up.
What would happen if we began to create the buzz long before the car is parked or you ever committed to turn in? What if every Kinetic guest was welcomed two or three times before they even walked into the theater? How could we ease the stress of visiting a church for the first time for every Kinetic guest?
I believe the results of our efforts would be dramatic.
Today, Kevin volunteered to lead and create a brand new team to solve this problem. AMAZING!!! Beginning today, we are looking for 16 people to join us in changing the face of Kinetic by serving on this team one time per month.
What’s this team called? Who knows…but it’s coming. .
