Mind Dump / October 22, 2007

  • Sometimes Christian people want their preacher to be judgmental and condemning – sorry to disappoint.
  • I lost my cell phone again.
  • My ear drums didn’t bleed this past Sunday…amazing.
  • Morgan Bolick has invited a million people to join her Host ministry team.  Good work!
  • Melanie Spinks is amazing and has an incredible heart for people. It was an honor to meet her.
  • Kinetic Kids check-in reminded me of Walmart at Christmas time…complete chaos!
  • We have officially grown over 10% since our move to Concord Mills AMC.
  • Kinetic 101 class at Macado’s was ridiculous! We expected 14 to show up, but had 32.
  • NOTE TO SELF: Macado‘s is the slowest restaurant in the history of the world. (over 2 hours to get our sandwiches)
  • The attitudes of the staff at the AMC are so positive and helpful.  I’m glad we moved.
  • Anna Fleig brought a friend for the first time this past Sunday…next Sunday, she’s gonna be baptized at the YMCA off George W. Lyles.  HOME RUN ANNA!!
  • Beth Eaton is launching a new small group this week!

Dave,
My Sunday Afternoon Mind Dump!
What a wonderful morning! No my eardrums didn’t bleed last week & nor today – yeah!! And Daniel’s last song – WOW! It’s been awhile since I was that moved by the music. (In a good way)
Sorry you lost your cell phone – hope you found it.
As I was reading the Observer today after lunch, I came across the Kinetic ad. Another great one. (I usually open to the ad & leave it on our kitchen counter for all to see!) And to my surprise, a few pages over, I came across the Milam family picture – Beyond the Pulpit. Yes, the tree house is “rockin’!” The family is beautiful & what a nice tribute to Anne.
Thanks for answering God’s call to be a minister!
And Dave, I’ll loan you my hammock anytime!
