Mind Dump-March 3, 2008

Mind Dump / March 3, 2008

Yesterday was insane. Here are only a few of my million thoughts. (give me yours!)

  • We had three cop cars and Concord’s CSI team responding to our 911 call.  (see pic from Colin’s iPhone)
  • Kinetic’s Children’s Ministry IS AMAZING!! (I can’t believe they pulled it off yesterday) – Great job Diane!
  • Sounds like the Parrish clan gets to sleep in an extra hour on Sunday mornings.
  • ARGH! Now we have to inventory the trailer!
  • Yesterday had such a freeing feeling. But believe me, the feeling was short lived.
  • I really love my wife. She is such a great support to me. Thanks Anne!
  • Yesterday, after the caffeine and adrenaline wore off, I was really sad.
  • Next Sunday, we’re having a crazy important small group leaders meeting. (pray for us)
  • WOW! Kinetic is definitely more about the people than the stuff.
  • WCNC is coming tonight to do a story on us. I think we’re gonna be on the 11:00 news.
  • Lots of new people lately!
  • The kids check-in computers didn’t work again this week. Can you believe it???

A Copernian Moment

Stuff or not, God was totally moving on Sunday! Many people didn’t even realize the ‘stuff’ was gone. In the words of Dawn Soubiron in our small group last night, the church is the people, not the stuff. And Kinetic People are awesome!

Hey dude! Just to let you know, you have a whole lot of people up here in North Idaho that are praying for you. We got your back. Let us know what you need.

this was a bad thing that happened for sure, but hey, bad stuff happens daily to alot of people. some that don’t have anyone to help them.
i think we soldiered up pretty good and did what we had to do to help each other. it’s what this church is about. it’s why i love it at kinetic. God moved for sure on Sunday, as Lori stated, stuff or not.

thru it all, GOD is still GOD. he is moving in all of our lives.

remember, it’s an endurance game. our strength doesn’t come from us, it comes from God, stay strong Kinetic!

Dave, this is a great blog! Nice job.
I just have to comment on your issues with your children’s check in computers…you should have gone with us! Our system works even without an Internet connection and will sync the data later when you are connected. 😉 Just rass’n ya man.
