    A Ride with Alex

    alexblue.jpg
Today was my day to drive the truck. Whenever I drive, I always ask one of my children to ride with me. Today, I asked Alex. (who just turned 4 years old)

As we were driving home Alex noticed a church’s steeple. Here’s how our conversation unfolded:

    ALEX: Dad…look, I see a cross!
    ME:
Really? Tell me all about the cross, Alex.
    ALEX:
Well, there’s nobody on that cross.
    ME:
What do you think that means, Alex?
    ALEX:
That means nobody’s gonna die today.
    ME:
    Hmmmmm, you’re exactly right.

That is awesome. I about fell off the couch when I read that. Good news is, Jesus has already died so we don’t have to. Alex has some real genius (wonder if that is from his mom or dad?).

Of course, the genius is from his father’s side!

      (just don’t tell Anne)

When I was a kid, I would have said “well, it’s missing the skull and (cross)bones”. Too many cartoons I guess. Thank goodness for salvation! :)
