Kinetic Under Siege

I’ve always wondered what it would feel like to be the President before a war; to be the decision guy responsible for risking the lives of young men and women in battle. I can’t even begin imagine the pressure and weight of that decision.

But now, after the past few weeks, I kinda understand.

Our decision to begin offering two services on September 14 immediately put the people of Kinetic in harm’s way. The announcement thrust us into an intense battle by moving us to the front line of a spiritual war. Kinetic was under siege.

With one simple announcement, Kinetic Church declared war. (and we didn’t even know it)

I’m not kidding or exaggerating!  Phone calls and emails from hurting and desperate people have more than doubled since the big announcement. Our member’s stuff is breaking, their friends are dying and their spirit is questioning. The body count is high.

Had I expected this to happen, I would have issued a warning (complete with siren and a flashing yellow light).

Right now, we need people who will begin fasting and praying for our church and her leadership. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a spiritual battle which can only be fought with spiritual defenses.
