Kinetic Building Team Meeting

The Church / August 2, 2007

Today, I met with Kinetic Church’s official Building Team. (Robin Brooks, Tracy Himes and me) This was our second meeting. Currently we are working on our short-term goal of locating a facility within the next 9-12 months (potentially rented) that is capable of holding 300-500 worshippers.

You might also be interested in this chart that Jocelyn Smilie created. It shows a spot for every household unit that attended Kinetic as well as the mean center for the church. Anyway, from a long-term perspective, we would like to grow to approximately 700 before building. (though land may be purchased in the short term and begin saving immediately) At that point, we would like to use the momentum of a new facility help us break through the 1000 barrier and beyond.

I know this seems like forever away, but the dreams of tomorrow begin with the plans of today. Please continue to pray that God would provide the facilities needs for our church.
By the way, if you think of any good venues, please let me know by posting a comment here! .

Dave,

I don’t know if you looking for something else besides a movie theatre, but the movie theatre at concord mills mall has much later seating capacity (I think!). Just a suggestion 🙂

We have researched the possibility of going there. Here’s what we discovered:

Their capacity is about 300, but their cost is around $6000 per month. (ouch!) Also, there is NO on site storage. (we would need to trailer everything in weekly)That door’s not completely closed yet. We’ll keep you posted.

thanks for the tip!
