Conventional marketing wisdom would never recommend we unveil a big announcement on a tiny blog like mine; nobody really reads anymore. The pros would say that our hype should rival the magnitude of the message; there’s little puffery in a church minister’s blog. (at least beyond the attendance stats)
Today, I choose to go against the grain of traditional wisdom and reward our faithful readers who go beyond just looking at the pretty pictures.
On September 14, 2008, Kinetic Church will begin offering two Sunday morning services at the Concord Mills AMC Theatre, 9:30AM & 11:00AM. (how’s that for burying the lead)
Here’s what I’ve noticed: on a typical Sunday morning, our worship service has enough room for about 25 more people. After that, a family of four is sentenced to sitting in different sections in order to attend our worship service. If we expect God to grow our church by at least 25 more people this fall, then we must be prepared and create space for God to work.
God will undoubtedly bless us in proportion to our faithfulness.
This change will also provide the opportunity for Kinetic Kids staff to attend service every week and allow for more space and consistency in our already packed nursery and toddler classrooms. Also, by going “Deux,” Kinetic will be able to offer various Bible education classes for those who want to learn more about the Bible in a classroom environment. (one at a time, of course)
Over the next month our leaders will be recruiting more Frontline and Kinetic Kids staff to meet the increasing demands of growing church.
So, no doubt, the hype is coming.
