For the past two and a half years, Starlight 14 has been a wonderful home to Kinetic Church. The managers and staff have been welcoming and generally easy to work with.
It is now contract renewal time.
So, this past Monday, I spoke to our contact at National CineMedia (our virtual theater landlord). I began to explore the possibility of our church upgrading to Concord Mills. After we discussed costs, I came to the conclusion that the move made sense.
Thursday, I met with our building team and they agreed that the chance to meet at Concord Mills AMC is amazing opportunity for our church. Concord Mills Mall is the number one tourist attraction in North Carolina. It has more traffic than Lowes Motor Speedway and more guests than Carowinds. The exposure is going to be ridiculous.
This morning, I met with our ministry team leaders and small group coaches. Unanimously, everyone agreed that this was a no-brainer move. Tomorrow, we will announce the change after service.
There’s only one hiccup: there will be NO ONSITE STORAGE at Concord Mills AMC. That means that we must secure a 24’x7′ trailer and roadcases to make the move and streamline the set-up process.
Bottom line: we need to come up with around $20,000 in the next four weeks to make this move a reality. (not to mention dollars to tell the community of our new location)
So, this week I began praying for the $20,000 we need to make the move. I am completely faithful that God will provide.
Have I mentioned that the wave is coming?
