Sometimes you don’t realize that you need to regain emotional balance until it’s too late. Don’t beat yourself up, that will only make it worse. Take a second and speak what you’re feeling aloud. Are you hurt, sad, afraid, angry? Naming your emotion is the first step in regaining balance.
One of the quickest ways regain emotional balance is by breathing deeply. It’s probably no coincidence that God breathed life into man at the very beginning of time (Genesis 2:7). Breath gave life then and breath gives life now. Several deep breathes will help you regain emotional balance.

I still struggle with this, Dave – and this is a real help. Thanks for posting this and I will try and see if I can employ this method. On Wednesday, the stupidest thing got me mad and frustrated and angry and I am still trying to dig out of the hole I made when I exploded.
